The long wait is over. At 9PM, 48 days after the board exam, the result has been released. click here. Out of 77,901 who took the exam, only 32,617 passed. That's roughly 41.87% of the national passing rate. And I'm blessed and thankful to say, I made it! :) *Kung alam nyo lng kung gano ako kabado sa result. My hands were shaking while I'm opening the site. Hindi pa ako nakatulog the night before. haha.*


Though I'm truly overwhelmed for this achievement, I can't taste the sweet nectar of victory, fully. For my cousin and some of my friends didn't made it on the list. -- I still believe in you guys. As I always say, this exam is not the only means to determine how a great nurse you will be. I know that God is constantly working in your lives, you may not notice it right now, but believe that God is arranging things in your favor. Just continue to believe and trust God's plan for you and never loose hope, never! :)

My school life is over.

It has ended days even weeks earlier than my batch mates. Weeks before my graduation, I was busy arranging my cases for the June NLE. I don't attend grad rehearsals, school activities, workshops and the like. I need to have all te signatures needed for those cases before deadline and I was lacking time. Before, I was very hesitant to take the board on June. Most of my batchmates were discouraging me. Some said I will need more time to review and to fill in all those needed signatures, and it will be difficult for me since some of the chief nurses were on leave and the school would not be able to help us kasi konti lang daw kami and it will be time-consuming for them to help us. lol. (half-true, half-false. haha. FYI: The school really doesn't want us to take the June board. They prefer taking it on November. That's the real reason. haha.) Three days before the deadline, hindi pa ako tapos. Kat and I still need to look for a Clinical Instructor for our Lying-In cases, and CMH's chief nurse is still on leave. I was loosing hope. I told myself, "If it is God's will for me to take it on June, He would make it happen". And He did. Suprisingly, Dean Ritchie looked for a CI that will fit in our Lying-In cases' dates. She even asked Ma'am Len to go to Lucena to have our cases signed and the chief nurse of CMH texted us that we can go to Candelaria Quezon that day for her signature. (I didn't expect that our Dean would help us. Sya kasi ang may ayaw ng June) Galing noh. :)

So luckily, eight of us were able to make it on time and We were able to convice the Dean that we can make it. I remember her saying, "Sigurado ka na ba? I trust you anak. 80 and above ha". Hahaha. I just hope I made the right decision.

There's one more. Wala pa akong nahahanap na review center noon. I e-mailed Sultan Review Group (SRG) and they told me that the review in Manila already started. Wala pa silang other branch noon. So, I searched for Carl Balita, RA Gapuz, A1, RCAP and Pentagon on the net to see their scheds. March pa sila nagstart mag review, some eh nung January pa. Kamusta ka naman? My parents told me to decide kung san ako magrereview para makahanap na ng boarding house. Gusto nila sa malapit lang. lol. May malapit ba? Manila kaya lahat yun. O_o Sabi ko bahala na! ahahaha.

God is really good. I checked SRG's site again and luckily, nag open na sila ng bagong branch, and one is at Las Piñas. Jackpot! :) The following day, nag-enroll na agad ako. Oha! The review started on April 7. First day absent ako. (Blame PRC for that!) I was not able to take the diagnostic exam and attend the orientation as well. Buti nalang considerate yung staff ng SRG-LP and they told me to come to their office to just take the diagnostic exam at home once I'm through filing at PRC. (Thanks Ms. Abie!) So, the review goes on everyday with a day-off a week. So far, so good. SRG family became so dear to me. I've been with the outstanding lecturers and I met new friends from different schools. Being around with people sharing sleepless nights, sharing the same hardships and worries, sharing the same goal. It really feels different. It feels like.. "you belong". haha. I miss you SRG peeps.

After the two-month-long review comes the most awaited exam of my life, the Nursing Licensure Exam. To summarize how the exam goes..

Test 1: "Lord, thank you po."
Test 2: "Lord, HHELLLFFF!!!"
Test 3: "Lord, salamat."
Test 4: "Lord, thank you ulit."
Test 5: "Lord, tulong!!! dinudugo akoo!!!!" ahahaha.
--I hope you know what I mean.

I already have plans after the board exam.
PLAN A: to look for a hospital that hired underboard nurses.
-- Somehow impossible because, most of the NAs and volunteers are already RNs. emf!
PLAN B: ask my Lola, para ipasok ako sa CDH.. kahit as volunteer :p
-- Apparently, walang vacant na slot as told by Tito Jimbo, a radiologist at the the said hospital.
PLAN C: to ask my mom's client na ipasok ako sa St. James Hospital at Sta. Rosa.
-- They only accept volunteers. huhu.
PLAN D: to look for a part-time job like call center, medical transcriptionist and the like.
-- May mga companies naman na hiring. Problem is, my parents don't want me to work. Malayo daw kasi. lol. EERRR!
PLAN E: wait for the NLE result.

After all the plans I have on mind. Guess what. I ended up, stucked at home, nursing the dogs, doing papers works, house choirs and typing jobs. So it has been 107 days after my Clinical Graduation, 96 days after the Academic Grad., 48 days after the NLE review, 44 days after the Nursing Board Exam and roughly 5 days before the release of NLE results, still.. I AM JOBLESS.

Oh yeah! A new one. But still unfinished.
I can't figure out how to fix the date and time on my blog posts. Hopes Drew could help. :)
